Due to this, the range of reagents offered has been significantly expanded, as HDD conditions differ greatly from geological exploration drilling. Following the company’s tradition, an HDD department was established with qualified drilling fluid specialists to provide technical project support.

Service support is provided by certified drilling fluid engineers 24/7. Our engineers have undergone training at international training centers in the USA, the Netherlands, and Russia. Each service engineer is equipped with Fann field testing equipment, allowing them to determine the necessary drilling fluid properties on-site, including:

  • Apparent viscosity
  • Plastic viscosity (PV)
  • Yield Point (YP)
  • Gel strenght
  • Filtration/fluid loss of drilling fluid
  • Sand content
  • Density of drilling fluid/slurry/cuttings
  • pH level
  • Total hardness determination

The service engineer selects drilling reagents, their concentrations, and the required volume of drilling fluid according to drilling conditions. Potential and possible issues that may arise during drilling are forecasted. Calculations are made to assess the efficiency of drilling fluid usage and the degree of wellbore cleaning. Engineer visits are arranged upon request and prior agreement.

Our company’s engineers also provide training for client personnel on the correct use of drilling additives. Training is conducted on-site by a service engineer, as well as at company seminars.

Mud Master has its own laboratory for testing drilling fluids, where drilling additives are selected based on client project requirements. Additionally, Mud Master has access to all sections of the API Standard 13 related to drilling fluid research.
